
Adult Education
The Adult Education and Training Program provides specialized training in several areas of interest to the DC metropolitan area. A literacy program is also offered to individuals who are seeking to increase their general academic skills or obtain a GED.
Eligible participants include district residents who meet the Federal Income Poverty Guidelines. Please note this is for adults only over the age of 17.
Training is offered on a monthly basis. The 2010 training schedule includes the following:
- Five Computer Comfort (Basic) training classes
- Five Introduction to Microsoft Word classes
- Five Advanced Computer training classes
- Nine Certified Professional Food Manager training classes
The Adult Basic Education class and Pre-GED class have open enrollment year round. Students may join at any time after entry-level testing is completed.
