POWER: Providing Opportunities with Educational Readiness

The Providing Opportunities With Educational Readiness (POWER) is a five year initiative as a result of a partnership between the United Planning Organization and American University. Enrolled students are tracked from 7th grade through 12th grade. The mission is to encourage and motivate students living in Congress Heights to pursue a college or post-secondary education and to offer academic, cultural and social enrichment as youth matriculate from middle school through high school.
