Temporary Summer Position
June 23, 2008 – August 15, 2008

The United Planning Organization is looking for energetic, creative Summer Camp Assistant to develop and lead a 6 weeks summer camp in the Ward 5 and 8 communities during summer 2008. The camp will run Monday through Friday, June 23, 2008 – August 15, 2008 between the hours of 9am – 4:30pm.

SALARY: $10.00 - $12.50 per hour

Brief Description: To provide assistance to the Summer Youth Employment Program Activities. Prepare correspondence, flyers, and other materials as directed; assist program staff with receiving and replying to calls and inquires from parents, DOES, and UPO partners; assist in preparing and collecting client’s time and attendance sheets; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; experience working with youth in a classroom or camp setting strongly preferred; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills a must; knowledge of Microsoft Suite Software (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Note: All camp positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

This position IS NOT in the collective bargaining unit.
