At the beginning of 2017, UPO began to address concerns of domestic violence in the Washington Highlands community. Throughout the year, we have worked to provide awareness, education, training, and workshops to empower residents and eliminate domestic violence disputes in their community.
We would like to thank the following partners for making the events possible: Beverley Smith of Momma’s Safe Haven, Onari Lynea of Healing Broken Wings, Queen Afi of Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags, and Neta Vaught of Reconnecting Our Communities.
